Thomas Ray Pate

Mr. Thomas Ray Pate, Jr.,”Ray Ray” 34, of Sylvester died Monday at the Willson Hospice House.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Reverend Jerry Etheredge, Reverend Randolph Pate and Elder Wendell Horten will officiate. Pallbearers will include Cy Fletcher, Austin Kelley, Doug Dixon, Adam Pate, Wayne Howard and Cole Chambless.

Mr. Pate was born June 8, 1979 in Albany, GA to Jean Marie Fletcher and the late Thomas Ray Pate, Sr. and lived most of his life in Worth County.  He was a graduate of Worth County High School and was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Albany GA.  He enjoyed listening to music and was an avid NASCAR fan.

He is survived by paternal grandparents, Thomas and Daphine Pate of Sylvester (where Ray Ray lived); mother, Jean Fletcher of Panama City, FL; maternal grandfather, Jean Fletcher of Panama City, FL; two brothers; Kyle Pate of Panama City, FL, and Justin Pate (Crystal) of Worth County; three nephews; Cole and Nathan Chambless and Dylan Pate; a niece, Stella Blues and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ray was taken to his grandparent’s residence, Thomas and Daphine Pate, 1628 Porters Corner Road, Sylvester, GA where the family will receive friends.
