Wayne Griner

CrossMr. Wayne Griner, 50, of Sylvester died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Cool Springs Cemetery in Colquitt County. The Reverends Mark Willis and Jason Jones officiated.
Mr. Griner was born on March 15, 1965 in Moultrie to the late Johnny Everett and Mavis Elaine Creamer Griner. He had lived in Worth County since 2010 moving here from Blackshear, GA. Mr. Griner was an Eagle Scout with Troop #33. He was formerly employed with DSI Security as a Security Officer and enjoyed hunting and his canine companions. Mr. Griner was a member of the Isabella Baptist Church.
Survivors include his sister, Angie G. Willis (Mark) of Sylvester; nieces, Brittany Young (Nic), April Crenshaw (Buddy) and Heather Pritchard (Scott); 5 great nieces and nephews and several aunts and uncles.
Pallbearers included Rick Medders, Chris Powell, Ramsey Brown, Chris Whitman, Curt Clark and Boyd Brown.
