Willie Maude Futrill

Mrs. Willie Maude Futrill, 95, of Poulan died Monday May 21, 2018 at her residence. The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Thursday May 24, 2018 at the Poulan Baptist Church. The Rev. Trey Brown and Rev. Freddy White officiated. Interment followed in the Poulan Cemetery.

Mrs. Futrill was born on May 22,1922 in Worth County to the late William Lee and Lula Belle Britt Bailey .She had lived in Worth County all of her life. She enjoyed gardening and cooking for her family. Mrs. Futrill was always spunky and full of life. She loved flowers and spending time with her grandchildren. Mrs. Futrill was a faithful member of Poulan Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.

She is survived by her children: R.L. (Kelsey) Futrill , Roger (Barbara) Futrill, Jean (Donald) Wingate, Joan Fincher and Jack (Marla) Futrill ; a son-in-law Keith Leggett ; a daughter-in-law, Diane Futrill ; 16 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren ; 7 great great grandchildren with two more on the way; brother, Forrest Bailey ; sister , Frances Patterson ; many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Futrill was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Primrose Futrill on January 2, 1966; daughter, Faye Futrill Leggett ; a son, Wayne Futrill  ; a-son-in-law Lonnie Fincher ; two infant babies ; three sisters, Eunice Thompson, Betty Hayes and Joyce Saylor .Pallbearers included Donnie Wingate, Bill Fife, Derek Allen, Sr., Patrick Futrill, Chris Fogarty, Brian Baggett.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Phoebe Hospice at 320 Foundation Lane Albany GA 31707. Please sign our online guest registry at www.banksfh.com. Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester was in charge of arrangements.
