John Culpepper

Mr. John Culpepper, 88, of Sylvester died Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon.The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at First Baptist Church interment followed  in the Hillcrest Cemetery.  Rev. Donnie Duncan and Rev. Earnie Pirkle  officiated.

Mr. Culpepper was born on September 21, 1929 in Poulan to the late John Henry and Mary Annie Jolly Culpepper.  He had lived in Worth County most of his life.  Mr. Culpepper was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.  He retired from Flowers Bakery where he was employed as a Route Driver.  Mr. Culpepper enjoyed working in his garden and loved taking care of his wife.  He was a faithful member of First Baptist Church Sylvester where he attended the Baker Sunday School Class.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Evelyn Culpepper of Sylvester; brothers, Willie Culpepper and Charles Culpepper; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and extended family members, and special caregiver, Doretha Crawford.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Culpepper was preceded in death by his sisters, Ruby C. Chapman, Jane C. Thompson, Mary Willis and Nancy Story; and brothers, Jack Culpepper, Gordon Culpepper and Mack Culpepper.
