Mrs. Martha Hortman Adams, 72 of Sylvester, died on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 5, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Trey Brown officiated.
Mrs. Adams was born on September 8, 1946 in Worth County to Junious Vernon and Lois Laverne Hardage Hortman. She had lived in Georgia and Florida her whole life. Mrs. Adams was retired from the Walmart in Tifton. Following her retirement, Mrs. Adams was a homemaker and caretaker for the elderly. She enjoyed arts, crafts, reading , crocheting, but most of all she loved her family and friends. Mrs. Adams was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her daughter, Kimberly Crawford of Hahira; son, Jeff Roberts of Panama City, FL; mother, Laverne Hortman of Sylvester; grandchildren, Amber Brock, Savannah Guilford (Devon), Aldan Crawford; great grandchild, Samyrah Guilford.
Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her father, Junious Vernon Hortman.
