Ralph Childers

Mr. Ralph William Childers, 66 of Sylvester, died on Saturday, December 29, 2018 at his residence.

The graveside service was held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.  The Rev. Melvin Slappy officiated. 

Mr. Childers was born on May 18, 1952 in Rome, GA to the late Willie Fredene Childers. He had lived in Worth County most of his life. Mr. Childers was a veteran having served in the United States Air Force, he later retired as a dispatcher with Norfolk Southern Railroad Company. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Railway, Airline and Steamship Clerks. Mr. Childers loved watching football and cars.

Survivors include his daughter, Jamie Michelle Childers of Altos, OK; nieces, Kristi and Dawn Childers; special caretakers, Michael, Alicia and Hunner Childers. A host of aunts, uncles and cousins.

In addition to his mother, Mr. Childers was preceded in death by a brother, Ray Childers.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery Fund 3011 Hill Road, Ashburn, Ga. 31714
