LaNelle Troutman

Mrs. LaNelle Ford Troutman, 87 of Poulan, died Friday, January 11, 2019 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Poulan United Methodist Church interment followed in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Steve Purnell and Mr. Bill Piland officiated.

Mrs. Troutman was born on September 18, 1931 in Doles Georgia to the late Robert Jesse and Myrtle Rogers Ford. She had lived in Poulan for the last 68 years. Mrs. Troutman was retired from the City of Poulan and was very active in her church. She was a Sunday School Teacher, member of the Methodist Women and a member of the WM Goodman Sunday School Class. She was also a charter member of the Poulan Recreation Department, the Poulan Community Council and the Poulan Homemakers Club.

Survivors include her son Harry R. “RuRu” Troutman, Jr. (Linda) of Houston Texas; daughter, Melanie T. Newton of Sylvester; grandchildren, Billy and Lora Troutman, Austin and Caroline Newton, Robert Allen and Kyle Lambert; sisters-in-law, Peggy Ford and Patsy Ford and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Troutman was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Rufus Troutman on June 3, 2009; brothers, Lyndel Ford Sr., Donald W. Ford Sr., French Ford and a sister, Vivian Collins.
