Jennifer Kay (Burks) Bogadi, beloved mother, sister, mamaw, and friend passed away unexpectantly, but very peacefully in her sleep, March 21, 2019 at the age of 72 in the comforts of her home in Albany, Georgia.
Jennifer was born December 4, 1946 in Cincinnati, Ohio. She, along with her four siblings, were raised by her parents Thomas Victor and Jennie Mae (Smith) Burks on a farm in Anderson, Indiana. Growing up, she enjoyed being a member of 4-H and was always proud of the fact that she had perfect attendance throughout all of her years in school. She was a 1965 graduate from Anderson High School in Anderson, Indiana. After graduation, she married David W. Devore, and together they had two daughters Angela McGee and Holli (David) Bradley. They were married for 13 years. After staying at home a few years to raise her children, she decided to venture out and went to work for Delco Remy, a division of General Motors, where both of her parents had been employed for many years. Jennifer was transferred to the Delco Remy plant in Albany, Georgia in 1980, and there she became actively involved in the UAW and made many lifelong friends. In 1984, Jennifer married Terry Bogadi and was blessed to become a second mother to his three children, Melissa Bogadi, Tommy Bogadi, and Dawn Ward-Dobbs. She retired from General Motors in 1999. Jennifer was an avid lover of cross-word puzzles, calling and keeping in touch with family and friends, and spending time at the beach hunting for seashells. She also enjoyed spending countless hours playing with her grand and great-grandchildren, reading them books, watching Disney movies, and teaching them all how to swim. Her sense of humor and special laugh will be greatly missed by all.
In addition to her children, Jennifer is survived by her thirteen grandchildren, Haylei (Zach)Weeks, Chelsey (Jason) Langley, Megan (Quint) Elmore, Riley Bradley, Caleb McGee, Mason Wynn, Brendan McDowell, Madi McDowell, Mia Bogadi, Ty Bogadi, Makayla Bogadi, Bobby Ward, and Marley Dobbs; her 7 great-grandchildren, Ainslee Nova Weeks, Raelynn Tatum, Blakeley McGee, Claire Langley, Rylan Langley, Carissa Langley, and Andrew Elmore; a brother, Douglas (Cindy) Burks; 2 sisters, Vicki (Terry) Gordon, Christie (Tom) Hovland; a sister-in-law, Patti Burks; her fur baby and trusted companion “Jessie”; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

Bridge of Love
There is a bridge of memory from the earth to heaven above.
It keeps you always near us. It’s called the bridge of love.
It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone.
A part of us went with you the day God called you home.
