Margaret Hobby

Mrs. Margaret C. Hobby, 72 of Sylvester, died on Thursday, March 28, 2019 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Banks Funeral Home, interment followed in the Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Bruce Gordon and Rev. Jimmy Black officiated. 

Mrs. Hobby was born on October 30, 1946 in Crisp County to the late Harold Eugene (John) and Myrtle Cason Coleman. She had lived in Worth County for the past 53 years and was retired from the Department of Driver Services. Mrs. Hobby loved working in her yard, watching Days of Our Lives, but most importantly she loved spending time with her family. She was a member of the Pleasant View Baptist Church.

Survivors include her daughter, Kelly Leverette (Rodney) of Sylvester; son, Jeff Hobby (Pam) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Meggan Stephenson (Dustin), Jennifer Hopkins (Jake), Trent and Zack Hobby, Dara Lanier, Tyler Davis and Chesley McCorvey; great grandchildren, Conner Stephenson, Caleb Stephenson and Caden Stephenson.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hobby was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Harold Hobby on October 14, 2006; granddaughter, Kari Hobby on November 7, 2008; and a brother, Bobby Coleman.
