Hazel Phillips

Mrs. Hazel Phillips, 82 of Doerun, died on Friday, May 17, 2019 at her residence.

The memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday May 21, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Bobby Joe Brown will officiate.

Mrs. Phillips was born on August 19, 1936 in Cowen West Virginia to the late Cornelius and Frances Justice Williams. She had lived in Doerun since 1987 and was retired from Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital where she served as a nurse for many years. Mrs. Phillips loved to cook, tend to her garden and read. 

Survivors include her husband. George E. Phillips, Sr. of Doerun; son George E. Phillips, Jr. (Nicole) of Baconton; daughters, Marcie Atkins (Darrell) of Baconton, Irene Herbert of Valdosta; 5 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
