Abbie Duvall Bailey

Mrs. C. Abbie Duvall Bailey, 88, of Sylvester died Wednesday May 29, 2013 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital. The funeral service was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday June 2, 2013 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Hillcrest Cemetery with Rev. Donnie Sloan and Rev. Tony Morris officiating.
Pallbearers included Robert Dale, Eric Bozeman, Cary Bailey, Darrell Peden, Kerry Kirkland and Ranny Lane
Mrs. Bailey was born on August 27, 1924 to the late Henry Grady and Maebell Childers Duvall in Bartow County, Georgia. She lived in Worth County since 1953 moving here from Cave Springs, GA. Mrs. Bailey was formerly employed with Miller Brothers Meat Packing Company and Coats and Clark. She loved to quilt, enjoyed her flowers and working in her garden. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Sylvester Church of God.
Survivors include her daughters, Carolyn B. Davis (Johnny) of Dalton, GA, Patricia B. Bozeman (Alvin) of Sylvester and Aileen B. “Susie” Kirkland (Malcome) of Americus; sons, Eugene F. “Buddy” Bailey (Faye) of Sylvester and  Cary Randall Bailey (Dena) of Sylvester; grandchildren, Eric Bozeman, Cary Bailey, Sarah Bailey, Leigh Dale, Rita Peden, Risa Hall, Rhonda Lane, Kacy Kirkland, Kerry Kirkland and Kori Gorton; 19 great-grandchildren; 11 great, great-grandchildren; and a  brother-in-law, Grady Jenkins of Adairsville, GA..
In addition to her parents Mrs. Bailey was preceded in death by her husband, Jack F. Bailey on June 9, 1991.
The family received friends on Saturday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Banks Funeral Home.
