Billy “Pa Bill” Smith

CrossMr. Billy “Pa Bill” Smith, 75, of Sylvester died Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, April 18, 2015 at Northside Baptist Church with interment following in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jimmy Cargle officiated.
Mr. Smith was born on September 3, 1939 in Worth County to the late William Ray Smith and Alice Raney Smith. He had lived in Worth County all his life. Mr. Smith was a truck driver for Watkins Motor Lines and later became a car courier, as well as a friend, to the Sunbelt Ford Dealerships. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and driving his race car. Mr. Smith was a member of Worth Lodge 194 F&AM and a Boy Scouts Leader. He was a Deacon and member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Harris Smith of Sylvester; sons, Ray Smith (Sheila) of Sylvester and Larry Willis (Vickie) of Hahira; grandchildren, Jay Smith, Jeremy Smith, Haleigh Smith, Jessica Shuman and Brittany Willis; great-grandchildren, Grace and Ziva Smith, Josie and Issac Shuman.
Active pallbearers included James Hawke, Kyle Bridges, Larry Bailey, Jr., Daniel Bailey, Jackie Rigsby and Kemp Willis. Mr. Joe Burnham served as Honorary Pallbearer.
