Mrs. Elma J. Tomlinson, 89, of Sylvester died Sat., Nov. 16, 2013 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.
The graveside service was held at 2 p.m. on Tues., Nov. 19, 2013 at Hillcrest Cemetery with Dr. Ben Bush officiating.
Mrs. Tomlinson was born in Tift County on Nov. 22, 1923 to the late John W. and Arlow Hinson Griffin. She lived in Sylvester since 1990 moving here from Miami where she lived for 45 years. Mrs. Tomlinson was a member of First Baptist Church in Sylvester, the Bykota Sunday School Class and the W.M.U.
Survivors include her sisters, Carolyn Odem and Margaret Giddens, both of Sylvester; brothers, John W. Griffin of Sylvester, Hubert Griffin of Zillah, WA, Fain Griffin of Centre, AL and Earl Griffin of Menton, AL; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Mrs. Tomlinson was preceded in death by seven siblings.
The family received friends on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until service hour at Banks Funeral Home.
