Eugene Jones Jr.

Mr. Eugene Jones Jr., 59 of Sylvester died on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday June 18, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment will follow in the Poulan Cemetery. The Rev. Gordon Poole and Major Jeff Thompson will officiate.

Mr. Jones  was born on January 26, 1960, in Worth County to the late Marion Eugene Jones ,Sr. and Geraldine William Jones. He had lived in Worth County all of his life and was retired from the Worth County Sheriff’s Department. Mr. Jones enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking. He loved spending time with his family and making everyone around him laugh and have a good time.

Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Sandra Jones of Sylvester; daughters, Kelly Blalock (Jamie), Kristy Gibson; son, Christopher Jones (Nicole); grandchildren, Brittney Blalock (Chris), Kaycee Blalock, Makaila Jones, Kadence Gibson, Corbitt Jones, Cayson Jones, Lakyn Lanier and Walker Lanier; great grandchild, Kylynn McDaniel; brother, Tracy Jones (Rosemary); brothers-in-law, Jerry Griffin (Kathy) and Scott Goodman (Gabe); and host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his grandparents Romie and Mable Williams.
