Frank Hitt

Frank Hitt, Sr., 83, of Sylvester died Wednesday May 14, 2014 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.
The funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at Baker Funeral Home Chapel in Moultrie. Interment followed at Paulk’s Chapel Cemetery. Minister Sam Hartline officiated.
Pallbearers included Chris Hitt, Steven Dorminey, Tim Daniel, and James Pittman. Honorary pallbearer was Frank Blackledge.
Mr. Hitt was born August 10, 1930 in Moultrie, GA to the late Robert John Henry Hitt and Ida Mae Hardin Mooer. He was a retired mechanic for Transport Equipment and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Pearl Hitt; sons, Frank Hitt Jr. of Sylvester, Michael Lee Hitt and wife Kerri of Baconton and Raymond Eugene Hitt of Sylvester; daughter, Linda Dianne Hitt of Nashville, GA; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren;
In addition to his parents, Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by four brothers and four sisters.
Visitation was held Saturday, May 17, 2014 from 10 until 11 a.m.
Arrangements were entrusted to Baker Funeral Home.
