Mr. Kenneth Leon “Kenny” Bailey, 75, of Sylvester entered into Heaven on the wings of an angel on a beautiful day, April 22, 2015 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Wright’s Chapel Church Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Sloan officiated.
Mr. Bailey was born in Vernon, FL on September 30, 1939 to the late Coy Lee Bailey and Estelle Thompson Bailey Criley and had lived in Worth County for the past 34 years. He was a descendant of the Creek Indians as listed in the Muscogee Creek Indian Roll #EC11141. Mr. Bailey worked in Insurance Sales, taught at Turner Job Corps and served in the National Guard. He was a religious man with a kind heart who loved all his family and lived life to the fullest. Mr. Bailey enjoyed working in his garden every spring and was a social butterfly.
Survivors include his loving wife of 21 years, Caroline Davis Bailey of Sylvester; daughters, Kim Cummings of Panama City, FL, Katie Rhutt of Lincoln, NE, Kim Hill (Ed) of Albany, Tammy Hazlett (Jerry) of Panama City, FL; sons, Wayne Bailey (Shannon) of Panama City Beach, FL, Willie Bailey (Heather) of Crestview, FL, Bill Bailey of Lincoln, NE, Tracy Paulk of Wisconsin and Tony Paulk (Jane) of Sylvester; 22 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, Sherman Bailey (Gail) of Panama City, FL; niece, Sharron Otto; nephew, Lee Swinney; aunt, Ruby Bailey Shiver and numerous cousins.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his sisters, Joyce Swinney and Carolyn Bailey and a nephew, Michael Swinney.
Pallbearers included Wayne Bailey, Ed Hill, Joshua Sweatman, Willie Bailey, Tony Paulk and Marshall Lee.
