Mr. Jessie Spillers

Mr. Jessie Spillers, 79, of Worth County died Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at his residence.
The funeral service was held at 4:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with interment following in the Pleasant Grove Church cemetery. Rev. Ricky Griner and Rev. Dennis Hall officiated.
Mr. Spillers was born on December 3, 1938 in Ty Ty, GA to the late James Iverson and Ruby Lee Frazier Spillers. He had lived in Worth County since 2005, moving back here after living in Woodville, FL for 12 years and Bainbridge, GA for 4 years. Mr. Spillers worked at McKenzie Tank Lines and McKenzie Service Company for a total of 35 years before retiring. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Air Force. Mr. Spillers was an avid fisherman and enjoyed helping other people whenever he could. He loved many things in life but his greatest joy was his family whom he loved dearly. Mr. Spillers was a faithful and active member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church where he served in many capacities including Chairman of the Deacons and Sunday School Director.
Survivors include his beloved wife, Brenda Dixon Spillers of Worth County; children, Sherry Terrell (George) of Albany, Tom Spillers (Peggy) of Cordele and Pamela Spillers Gravett (Terry) of Albany; grandchildren, Christopher Terrell, Sydney Windows (Blake Franks), Krysten Windows, Trae Horne (Lori), Christa Harper (Jason), Ashley Underwood (Kevin), Haley Gravett and T.J. Gravett; great-grandchildren, Aubree Franks, Taylor Horne, Clae Horne, Ansley Horne, Chip Harper, Kailee Harper, Ashlynn Underwood, Parker Underwood, Aleea Underwood, Courtney Aman, Conner Aman, Chloe Childers and Austyn Gravett; sister Geraldine Spillers Walters of Ty Ty and a number of extended family members and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Spillers was preceded in death by his sister, Laverne Spence and his brother, Alton Spillers.
