Mrs. Ellen Holt Broadaway

Mrs. Ellen Holt Broadaway, 64, of Warwick died Wednesday March 6, 2013 at her residence.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday March 8, 2013 at the Liberty Baptist Church in Pinehurst, GA with interment to follow in the Church Cemetery with Rev. Phillip Garrett officiating.

Mrs. Broadaway was born on June 27, 1948 to the late Edwin Lee and Margaret Ellen Buchanan Holt in Cordele and lived in Warwick most of her life. She was a former owner/operator of the Pecan Grove Restaurant. Mrs. Broadaway loved to bake, paint and working with crafts. She enjoyed keeping her niece and nephew. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a former Sunday School teacher. Mr. & Mrs. Broadaway celebrated their 45th Wedding Anniversary on December 22, 2012.

Survivors include her husband, Marcus “Mark” Broadaway of Warwick; sister, Lisa H. Reynolds (Jim) of Sylvester; nieces & nephews, Bailey & Sam Reynolds, David, Jamie & Eric Holt, Aimee Brown, Jennifer Guest, and several great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Broadaway was preceded in death by a brother Danny Holt and a sister Marsha Foshee.

Serving as active pallbearers were Wayne Peavy, Jeff Peavy, Eason Peavy, Ken Watson, Randall Campbell, Ronald Reed and serving as honorary pallbearers were Gail Swain, Beverly Peavy, Abretha Watson, Pam Garrett, Donna Kinard and Leila Mangano.

For those desiring, memorials may be made to Crisp Regional Hospice 202 E 4th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015 or to the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund C/O Mrs. Beverly Peavy 725 Old Americus Road, Vienna, GA 31092.
