Myra Hollingsworth Stephens

Mrs. Myra Hollingsworth Stephens, 93, of Doerun died Monday, August 26, 2013 at her residence.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday August 28, 2013 at the Evergreen Baptist Church with interment following in the Evergreen Cemetery. Reverends Michael Kennedy and Ronald Barrett officiated.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mickey Kennedy, Todd Brooks, Ken Potts, Zachary Kennedy, David Kimbrel, James Potts, Payton Brooks and Kole Kimbrel.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Wendy Kennedy, Marsha S. Kimbrel, Melanie S. Potts and Monica S. Brooks.
Mrs. Stephens was born on December 27, 1919 in Worth County to the late Otis Hollingsworth and Iris Bell Hollingsworth Fowler. She was a lifelong resident of Worth County and a homemaker. Mrs. Stephens was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School for several years.
Survivors include her daughter, Venescia S. Knight of Albany; daughter-in-law, Linda P. Stephens of Sylvester; granddaughters, Wendy Kennedy (Mickey), Marsha S. Kimbrel (David), Melanie S. Potts (Ken) and Monica S. Brooks (Todd); nine great-grandchildren, Michael and Zachary Kennedy, Kathleen, Katherine and Kole Kimbrel, James and Kari Potts and Payton and Makenna Brooks; two great, great-grandchildren, Anna Joy and Leah Grace Kennedy and a sister, Annette Jacobs of Dawson Springs, KY.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her husband, J. O. Stephens; a son, Marcus Stephens; a brother and two sisters.
