Rube “Lon” Livingston

Mr. Rube Leon “Lon” Livingston, 59  of Sylvester, died on Friday, December 21, 2018 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at First Baptist Church the Rev. Donnie Duncan officiated. Interment followed in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Edison, Ga. on Monday December 24, 2018 at 11:00 AM the Rev. Keith Gaines officiated. 

Mr. Livingston was born on December 31, 1958 in Hartselle, AL, to the late Rube Leon and Charlotte Lee Livingston Sr. He had lived in Sylvester since 1998 after moving from Albany, Ga. Mr. Livingston worked for Southwest, Ga. Orthopedics for many years. He loved working and helping anyone in need, and was also an avid Atlanta Falcons fan. Mr. Livingston was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sylvester, Ga. and the Worth Lodge #194 F&AM.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Peggy Eubanks Livingston of Sylvester; children, Stewart Livingston (Caitlin) of Albany, Marshal Livingston (Erica Bliese) of Albany; brother, Lynn Livingston of Enterprise AL; sister, Jerri Waddell (Lynn) of Hartford, AL. And a number of nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Livingston was preceded in death by his sister, Jo Sivley Brackin.
