Timmy Wyatt Childers

Timmy Wyatt Childers, age 55, of Sylvester died on November 27, 2014 at Sylvester Health Care.

Services were held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Reflection Chapel with Rev. Wendell Apperson officiating.

Mr. Childers was born on August 7, 1959 in Worth County to James E. Childers and the late Marion Apperson Childers. He was a fork lift driver by trade and was known by many as The Street Preacher. He had a radio ministry for many years in Moultrie. He loved his family and wanted to share his faith with anyone he came in contact with. Mr. Childers was a member of the Church of Christ in Albany.

Survivors include his father, James E. Childers of Sylvester, two sisters, June Childers and Jane (Tony) Paulk, both of Sylvester, one sister in law, Jackie Childers Medders of Poulan, several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, a god mother Bernica Jackson of Albany, and special friends Richard (Julie) Vurnell of Albany and Jerome Gavin of Orlando, Fl.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one brother, Tony E. Childers.

Reflection Cremation & Funeral Service of Tifton was in charge of the arrangements.
