Mr. Harvey Raymond Young, 91 of Albany, died on Sunday, March 24, 2019 at his daughter’s residence.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Thursday March 28, 2019 at the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, interment followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. The Rev. David Williams, Mr. James Lewis and Rev. Douglas Hatcher officiated.
Mr. Young was born on July 11, 1927 in Worth County to the late Emmett Primus and Letha Mae Whittington Young. He had lived in Albany most of his life and was a retired farmer. Mr. Young worked as a supervisor for McGregor Brunswick for 26 years, and was a member of the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter, Kaye Lewis (John) of Worth County; sons, Randall Young of Albany, Donald Young of Moultrie; sisters, Betty Busbin of Okeechobee, FL., Jeanette Braswell of Dothan, AL., Ann Howard of Sigsby, GA., Carolyn Edwards of Leesburg; brothers, Rex Young and Jimmy Young both of Doerun. 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by his sons, Darrell R. Young, Danny Ray Young and his former wife, Addie Mae Young.
Pallbearers for the service included, John Lewis, Jr., Jerry Young, Robert Dale, Bennett Lewis, Scott Lewis, and James Lewis.
