Betty Gaddy

Mrs. Betty Gaddy, 77,  of Sylvester, died on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her residence.

The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Pine Hill Baptist Church, interment followed in the Pine Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Donnie Wright and Rev. Walt Tompkins officiated. 

Mrs. Gaddy was born on October 17, 1941 in Cedartown, GA., to the late Gus and Susie Bell Burch Camp. She had lived in Worth County most of her life and was a homemaker. She was a devoted wife of 63 years, a loving mother and grandmother. Mrs. Gaddy loved fishing, camping and most importantly spending time with her family. She was a member of the Pine Hill Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, J.C. Gaddy of Sylvester; children, Lisa Swain (Carl) of Sylvester, Bonnie Avalos of Tifton, James Gaddy (Jimmie) of Andersonviile, Darlene Duckworth (Brian) of Sylvester, Rhonda Saylor (Terry) of Sumner, J.C. Gaddy, Jr. of Jacksonville, FL, Ricky Gaddy of South Carolina, Timothy Gaddy of Sylvester and Scott Gaddy (Marsha) of Sumner; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaddy was preceded in death by her brothers, Junior Camp, Bobby Camp, Vernon Camp; sister, Sandra Sims and a son-in-law, Bernardo Avalos.     

Pallbearers for the service included, Active: Justin Simpson, David Simpson, Walter Chaney, Skeeter Grizzard, Brian Paramore and Jason Garcia. Honorary Pallbearers were her Grandsons.
