Boyd Outlaw, 41, of Lugoff, South Carolina died May 12, 2013. A memorial service was held Wednesday May 15, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel in South Carolina where a celebration of his life was presented by means of a slide show accompanied by Boyd’s favorite music. Heartfelt eulogies were offered by his children Callum and Elizabeth who described her father as being her “Super Hero”. Boyd’s brothers Tom and Michael also gave heartfelt testament towards the positive impact Boyd had made in their lives.
Boyd was a resident of Worth County for many years with his family who continue to reside in Sylvester. After traveling and working in many states, he took residence in Lugoff, South Carolina where he was the successful owner of several businesses. Many would describe Boyd as a free spirit who loved life in a way that many of us only dream of. He loved boating, camping, and spending time with his family and friends. He was a jokester who had a laugh that was contagious and he was able to make everyone who met him want to be his friend. He cared for his family and the people of his community and was one who would go out of his way to help those in need. Boyd also volunteered annually at the Epworth Children’s Home in Columbia, S.C.
Boyd is survived by his son Callum Mitchell Outlaw with his mother Shona Bovingdon Outlaw, his daughter Elizabeth Renee Outlaw, his parents Boyd “Buck” and Sylvia Outlaw and Donald and Kay Kinder, his brothers Michael Outlaw (Frankie), Tom Branham (Jennifer), Michael Branham (Debbie), his sisters Michelle Outlaw, Annette Altouvas (Jean-Jacques), and Linette DesJardin. He was preceded in death by his sister Elizabeth “Beth” Branham. Boyd is also survived by many extended family and friends.
