Hazel Carter Anderson

Mrs. Hazel Carter Anderson, 90 of Sylvester died Saturday February 27, 2016 at Phoebe Worth Medical Center.

The funeral service was held at 11:00 AM on Saturday March 5, 2016 at Evergreen Baptist Church with interment to follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. The Rev. Todd Brooks officiated.

Mrs. Anderson was born in Sylvester on December 23, 1925 to the late Clarence Edward and Mary Rebecca Herring Carter. She had lived in Sylvester since 1995 moving here from Herford, Texas. Mrs. Anderson was a former office manager at a collection agency and a member of Evergreen Baptist Church. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and working in her yard.

Survivors include her son, Richard Luccketta of Little Rock, AR; daughter, Rhonda Hanyen of Sylvester; 3 grandchildren, Eva Manning, Brett Luccketta (Kristy), Rion Luccketta; great grandchildren, Ashley Manning, Becky Manning, Dannie Manning, Luke Luccketta, Ainsley Luccketta; sisters, Laurene Smailes of Sylvester and Shirley Fordham of Crawfordville, FL.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Anderson on March 22, 1992.

Serving as pallbearers were, Todd Brooks, Joe Smailes, Rick Luccketta, Payton Brooks, Tom Smailes and Randy McCasland.
