Mrs. Joye Braswell Jones, 66 of Sumner, died on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at her residence.
The funeral service was held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel, interment followed in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Jason Jones officiated.
Mrs. Jones was born on January 10, 1953 in Albany to the late Wiley R. and Barbara Hobby Braswell. She had lived in Worth County all of her life and a former pianist at the Isabella and Pine Forest Baptist Churches for many years. Mrs. Jones was a loving mother and nana who enjoyed cooking for her family, working in her yard and watching her humming birds. She was a member of the Pine Forest Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Jerry E. Jones of Sumner; children, Kristi Jones and Rick Corbett of Valdosta, Jason Jones (Laney) of TyTy, Haley J. Clark (Curt) of Sylvester and Dustin Jones of Sumner; grandchildren, Alyssa Walls, Ashlyn (AJ) Clark, Marshall Jones and Madden Jones; brothers, Rickey Braswell and Randy Braswell (Cheryl) all of Sumner.
