Martha Melton Etheridge

CrossMrs. Martha Melton Etheridge, 71, of Albany died Wednesday, March 25, 2015 at the Phoebe North Campus.
The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at Banks Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in the Hillcrest Cemetery. The Rev. Mike Davis officiated.
Mrs. Etheridge was born in Moultrie, GA on November 30, 1943 to the late Roy Emmett and Thelma Aline Gay Folsom. She had lived in Worth and Dougherty County most of her life. Mrs. Etheridge was employed by the Bozeman Insurance Agency and later the Brownlee-Bozeman Agency. She enjoyed fishing, her canine companion, Junior and watching her grandson, Cole, play ball. Mrs. Etheridge was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sylvester.
Survivors include her husband, Lennis E. Etheridge of Albany; sons, Jody Melton of Birmingham, AL and Jeff Melton (Connie) of Sylvester, step-children, Curt Etheridge (Kelly) of Leesburg, GA and Chris Etheridge (Amber) of Panama City, FL; grandson, Cole Melton; step-grandchildren, Josh Etheridge, Matt Etheridge and Brandon Etheridge; sisters, Shirley F. Luke of Sylvester and Becky Brown of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Roy E. “Buster” Folsom of Clayton, GA and her mother-in-law, Doris Parker of Albany.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Etheridge was preceded in death by her brother, Max Gay.
Pallbearers included John Brownlee, Luke Jones, Bernie Shiver, Casey Brownlee, Beau Turpin and Carl Shiver.
