Phillip “Phil” Senkbeil

Mr. Philip Michael “Phil” Senkbeil, 65 of Sylvester, died on Sunday, May 26, 2019.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday May 29, 2019 at the Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church. The Rev. Howard Vogan and Rev. Jeff Baker will officiate.

Mr. Senkbeil was born on December 24, 1953 in Sylvester, GA., to the late George Michael and Annie Laura Thompson Senkbeil. He had lived in Worth County all of his life and owned and operated Senky’s Bait and Tackle Shop. He enjoyed fishing, dove and quail hunting, shooting skeet, and collecting arrow heads, but most importantly he enjoyed spending time with his friends and family. Mr. Senkbeil was a member of the Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Reba Senkbeil of Sylvester; son, Jarrett Senkbeil (Beth) of Marietta, GA;  step-son, David Jordan, Sr., of Sylvester; grandchildren, Jack and Avery Senkbeil, David Jordan Jr.;  brothers, Wayne Senkbeil (Rita) of Sylvester, Tony Senkbeil of Sylvester; sister, Annelle S. McNair of Sylvester; brothers-in-law, Roger German (Joann), Rex German, Rodney German (Brenda) and Lewis Jordan (Kristi); sisters-in-law, Regina Raeburn (Darrien) and Vickie Clark (Randy).

In addition to his parents, Mr. Senkbeil was preceded in death by his sisters, Rozelle Senkbeil on August 19, 1943 and Sheila Beth Senkbeil on November 14, 1963.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the service hour at Gordy New Bethel Baptist Church.
