Woodrow Langdale

Mr. Woodrow “Woody” Langdale, Jr., 74, of Tifton died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at his residence. The funeral service was held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Banks Funeral Home with interment following in the Wright’s Chapel Cemetery. Rev. Terrell Roberts officiated.

Mr. Langdale was born on November 2, 1943 in Berrien County to the late Junior Woodrow Langdale, Sr. and Delilah Langdale. He had lived in Tifton most of his life. Mr. Langdale retired from JP Stephens Textile as a Supervisor and Target where he worked as a Stock Hauler. He enjoyed fishing and helping others in need. Mr. Langdale loved his family and worked hard to care for them. He was a faithful member of Tift Ave. Missionary Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce Langdale of Tifton; sons, Steve Langdale (Kathy) of Sycamore and David Langdale (Melissa) of Collidge; grandchildren, Michael Langdale, Nikki Langdale, John Langdale and Clayton Langdale; sister, Betty Jean Langdale Goodwin of Sylvester; sister-in-law, Doris Langdale of Charleston, SC; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Langdale was preceded in death by his sisters, Peggy Langdale and Christina Webb and a brother, Buddy Langdale. ?Please sign our online guest registry at www.banksfh.com. ?Banks Funeral Home in Sylvester is in charge of arrangements.
