John Fullmer, Sr.

Mr. John Fullmer, Sr., 72, of Sumner died Saturday April 20, 2019 at his residence. 

A private graveside service will be held at Harmony Baptist Church  Cemetery in Turner County.

Mr. Fullmer was born on December 18, 1946 in Akron, Ohio to the late Frank Wallace and Jeanette Fullmer. Mr. Fullmer had lived in Worth County since 1981. He served in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Naval Reserve in Orlando, Florida from 1965-1971. Mr. Fullmer was employed with the U.S. Postal Service from 1969-2003. He was also a Minister of Music from 1983-2009. Mr. Fullmer was a member of the Worth Lodge #194 F & AM and the Mallory Baptist Association. He loved traveling, reading, singing, wood working, and making stained glass, but most of all, Mr. Fullmer enjoyed spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine H. Fullmer of Sumner; children, John G. Fullmer Jr. (Lisa) of Sumner and Johnda Reese (Tony) of Albany; grandchildren, Karradyne Carter, Allyson Bozeman (Sim), Belle Golden (Justin), Michael French, John G. Fullmer lll and Haynes Sharpe; great grandchildren, Charlie Golden, Mackenzie, Tucker and Colton Bozeman; sister-in-law, Debra Hobby.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Fullmer was preceded in death by his sister, Janet Fullmer; brother, Frank Fullmer; niece, Jan Robichaud; sister-in-law, Diana Lynn Hobby; mother-in-law, Betty Wiggins Hobby; and father-in-law, M.A Hobby.
