Tennessee McKenzie

Tennessee Bowling Futrill McKenzie, 80, of Hahira died Monday, March 18, 2019 at South Georgia Medical Center. She was born in Tennessee on May 20, 1938 to the late Thomas and Lettie Griffith Bowling. Mrs. McKenzie was a member of the Poulan Baptist Church and a retired seamstress. She enjoyed gardening and tending her chickens. Mrs. McKenzie had many special friends, a special niece, Joan Finchers and an adopted sister, Madie Hopson and family. She loved them all and at her death she was able to give the gift of sight by cornea transplant to two special people.

Survivors include daughters and sons in law: Margaret York and the late Bill York of Hahira; Marie and Phillip Lovell of Jasper, GA; Lisa and Howard Gaines of Mobile, AL; her sons, Deryl Futrill, Winifred Futrill, Larry Joe Futrill all of Orlando, FL. Grandchildren and their spouses: Kristie York Wiggins and Lawrence Wiggins, Kassie York Dasher and Jacob Dasher, Brooke (Blake) Ayers, Kera Lovell (Simon Bussiere), Mikhail (Tita) Lovell, Travis Futrill, BJ Futrill, Amanda (Mark) Orgeron, Katelyn Gaines, Darlene Futrill Mottern, Kelly Futrill Walker; her great grandchildren: Aimee Dasher, Mia Orgeron, Conly Dasher, Jackson Wiggins, Johnathan Wiggins, Imogen Lovell, Bradley Ayers, Mason Orgeron, Leann Walker, Lauren Walker, Dylan Futrill; her sisters, Thelma Carroll, Bessie (Don) Jolly; her brothers, Benny (Janice) Bowling, Mose (Edna) Bowling; sister-in-law, Luvenia Bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wynn Brewer Futrill, a daughter, Shirley Ann Futrill, sister, Beatrice (Crawford) Harness; brother, Fred Bowling.

Memorial services will be held at Poulan Baptist Church Social Hall on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at 1:00.
